Canare and Switchcraft

In line with my raise charges Pro Wire Works and others that expected to take effect from July 2013.I will be adding Canare Cables along side my Mandatory Switchcraft for Guitar Pro Wire works..Such add ons will apply accordingly when its a must and possible basis.I've been using Canare Cables on and off for the past 3,4 years now hence choosing it for my workshop was not a difficult decision.For now at least...

Fender Strat Easy Swap.

One of my X student turned client and good friend wanted to replace all of the pickups in his Strat.He also wants the ability to revert back to its default configuration in a jiffy and in the comfort of his home.In short it means "How to avoid paying Yustech whenever I feel the need to swap it"...Haha.

I suggested that he buys the chosen pickups with all the necessary electronics.Luckily I kept one set 3.5mm male/female connectors.I've always wanted to do this but never thought one day I will.The insertion of it in the cavity does require some Professional poking and pushing around.He he.

For passive pickups a Mono Jack would pretty much do it.As for the brand,it would only be Switchcraft of course.The cheap and generic brand always dies on the job.

All you need is a screwdriver cause its solder FREE.Now that's what I call Easy Swap.

For those who wants their instrument to remain playable for years ahead,I am offering refretting services among others to those instruments that are in dire state.Since every instrument has and will have its own unique issues.Each guitars,Basses and others will be fully check,studied & charges on a case by case bassist.As woods are different from one to another so too condition,care and previous maintenance will be evaluated.

A professional consultation will be conducted before proceeding.Essentially knowing the player as much as the instrument is my method of approach.My goal is to make the player understands the instrument and the possible work involve.

Tools used for the referred work are the latest in the industry,these tools are design and Made in USA in line with their progressive musical instruments industry and used by guitar tech worldwide.

The Partial Fretwork minimum charge is from______ RM20.95cent.(Sometime doesn't make sense to do partial fretwork
The Full Fretwork minimum charge is RM250.
Fret Leveling/Crowning minimum charge is from__ RM100.(most time due to result,this doesn't make sense)

Restring:

Acoustic	RM15	Restring, tune & polish (RTP).
Stoptail,,Tune O Matic & Bass alike	RM15+	RTP. Depends on type and string gauge request, some added adjustment and charges may apply.
Vintage trem, Kahler and Floyd Rose.All double lockin trem. system.	RM20+	RTP. Depends on floyd rose type and string gauge request, some added adjustment and charges may apply.

Full set up (FSU):Neck Jig will be use if the need arise.

Acoustic	RM90	Neck adjust, action adjustment at nut and saddle,fret clean up, tighten tuner screws and nuts, lubricate tuning machines, general clean up, restring.In some case a Nut changed is enforce due to high slot wear.
Stoptail, Tonepros, Tune O Matic & Bass	RM90	Neck adjust, action adjustment at nut and saddle,fret clean up, tighten tuner screws and nuts, lubricate tuning machines, general clean up, string excluded.In some case a Nut changed is enforce due to high slot wear.

Replacing Nut:

Bone	RM90	If your guitar has a bowed neck, or an ill fitting saddle, expect additional cost to correct these problems. I will not install a new nut if other problems are not also addressed.
Brass	???	Not available.

Pick up installation:

Electric guitar & bass	RM25	Per pickup.In most cases a full and tidying up may apply for the best results(extra).
Acoustic (install 'under saddle' pick up)	RM150	Expand end pin hole to accommodate jack. Wire pickup to pre-amp and jack. Fit and re-size old saddle for proper action and contact with pickup. May require new saddle and re-rout of saddle slot(additional). There are other variables relating to pre-amps which must be individually quoted.The saddle will be setup to accommodate added height.Condition of bridge and neck angle may be factors in the appropriateness of an under the saddle pickup.

Others:

Acoustic new saddle	RM45	Same qualifications as with "Replacing Nut".
Replace tuners (tuner not included)	RM30+	Seems like a simple job, but can he fraut with nuanced complications.
Diagnose electrical problem	RM20	I will charge a minimum to diagnose electrical problems if work is not performed. Time is money.
Replace jack(Switchcraft #11/#12	RM15	Parts included
Replace volume/tone pot/switch	RM15	part may be extra. Depends on brand and availability.
Refret	RM450	3 common size available,Dunlop fretwires available on request.
