A couple years back I was given a task to install an Omega bridge on a Squier P Bass. The Omega 'Goodass' as I coined it has the Badass resemblance. It has the looks, dimension and the moving mechanics. I don't know who makes it but I think it’s the only choice for the late Badass 'knowers'. The Omega saddles are not pre groove from factory. This has to be done by you/me/him/her in accordance to the bass or your/mine/his/hers strings spacing. Thumbs up Omega, who and wherever you are. My apology for not doing you a dedicated entry.
Many of us have come to know of the Hipshot Company. Some of us whom had delve deeper into their design knows they are very focus about making better instrument hardware. Aside from offering their in house design, they also manufacture improved
I cannot vouch about any exact tonal contribution of this Kickass Bridge. I/you/him/her need a lab to do that. Yes, I'm a technical person but I judge hardware based on its evolution and merits (practicality and functionality). The Hipshot Kickass Bridge is definitely an engineered sequel to the previous two. Did I mention the outfit also comes with a couple of spare saddle inserts and saddles screw? How generous of Hipshot for us careless hands. Two thumbs up. I hope Hipshot had done their research so that I don’t have to face their screw-up like on the Ibby HM Bridge. Wouldn't want to one thumb down Hipshot. Let’s see what happen.
Fact correction - The Omega Goodass was the best value before this Kickass came out. Both are priced pretty close to each other but with one having two more additional features, the winner is quiet clear.Kudos Hipshot.
Thank you

Entertaining, informative and objective review. Muchas gracias. Haven't had the chance to install an Omega bridge yet, but from working on basses with Badass II bridges, they do appear to be build to similar standards.
Have installed two Hipshot solid brass A-style bridges to date, though not the Kickass. These Hipshot bridges are really something else!
